The Professional Classes

With an eclectic approach, including scene study, improv and structured exercises, Robert McCaskill’s professional classes provide full-spectrum training to help his students reach their greatest potential by teaching new techniques and demanding an actor’s star quality.  Scenes are assigned, but actors are encouraged to bring in audition sides. Actors who sing may also bring in songs.

My goal is to help them become more exciting immediately, while also plotting a path toward eventual greatness. I help actors to eliminate amateurisms. I teach them to layer their work.

I show them techniques that produce greater dynamism. I give them a sense of what it is to be complete.
